BUTTERMILK WAFFLES



2 EGGS
2 CUPS BUTTERMILK
2 CUPS FLOUR
2 TSP. BAKING POWDER
1 TSP. BAKING SODA
½ TSP. SALT
¼ CUP PLUS 2 TBSP. SHORTENING

HEAT WAFFLE IRON. BEAT EGGS; BEAT IN REMAINING INGREDIENTS UNTIL SMOOTH. POUR BATTER ONTO WAFFLE IRON. BAKE ABOUT 5 MINUTES OR UNTIL STEAMING STOPS.
