Sarah’s Sugar Cookies



1 cup real butter
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon extract
1 cup sour cream
6 cups flour
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt

Mix together butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, lemon extract and sour cream. Add flour soda and salt and mix. Roll thick and bake a 400 for 8-10 minutes.


Martha Stewart Glaze/Frosting
1 ½ cups powdered sugar
3 to 4 tbsp. milk, water, or lemon juice

Sift powdered sugar into a bowl. Whisk in liquid 1 tbsp. at a time, until smooth and thick enough to coat the back of a spoon. If too thin, whisk in more sugar; if too thick, add more liquid.
